Brilliantly colored fish add an immense amount of enjoyment to your water garden. They are a fundamental part of the water garden's ecosystem. Additionally, fish will help control the mosquito larvae. Ponds in general cut down on your neiborhood's mosquito population. The mosquito will lay their larvae in your pond and the fish will eat it. Goldfish and koi can be successfully kept in water that is only two feet deep. Koi are among the most exotic of the coldwater fish available for your koi pond or water garden pond. Koi are naturally tame and can easily be hand fed. The color ranges and patterns make them a unique addition and at reasonable pricing, an option you will want to consider.

COMMON GOLDFISH OR COMETS: GREAT FOR GARDEN PONDS. They are very easy to maintain and with the correct aquatic plantings they don't need to be fed.

DOMESTIC KOI: Good for garden ponds and will do great in koi ponds. Colors range from orange, yellow. white, black and every color pattern in-between.

JAPANESE KOI (NON-SELECT) Good for garden ponds great for koi ponds. Japanese koi have true color marked patterns. Japanese koi are the only koi that have the color red in them. The more perfect the color markings are the more expensive the fish. The non-select koi are very beautiful fish but the color markings are less than perfect.

JAPANEESE SHOW QUALITY FISH These fish are the pick of the litter. The color patterns are very sharp and the color is crisp. I would only recommending using these fish in a true koi pond. The prices of these fish can be very high but the quality is breath taken.
